Chez meaning “at the home of” in French reflects the warm, welcoming spirit we aim to share with every guest who walks through our doors. Lafayette holds a special significance in our culinary story. Our founder, Mike spent his college years in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he discovered his passion for Cajun-Creole cooking. It was in the kitchens of Lafayette that he learned the traditions, techniques, and soulful flavors that have laid the foundation to our sister restaurant Bourbon Street and Chez Lafayette.

Naming the restaurant Chez Lafayette honors the city where it all began. At Chez Lafayette Creole Brasserie, you’re not just dining you’re stepping into the heart of the journey that started it all.
